Saad
Sa'ad Hafiz grew up in South London. It was there that he cut his musical teeth on the sounds of house, 2 step Garage and the inescapable melodies of the
Spice Girls. He moved to Canberra shortly before high-school; a time when, unable to afford decks, he began producing music instead – an abiding interest
that has allowed him to refine his sound over several years. But his big break as a producer only came early in 2009 with 'Everytime' (BamBam Muzik), his debut
single which reached number 41 on the ARIA club charts.
Saad's burgeoning career as a DJ gives him the perfect opportunity to test out his tracks on the dance floor and access to the kind of horse tranquilisers most punters can only dream of. As a DJ, Sa'ad is defined by his variability and plays everything from deep house and disco, to mainroom house, prog and electro. Saad has played at Binara One, Tongue & Groove, Academy, Lot 33 and more, and has held various residencies over the years, and was the winner of the Friction Future Stars DJ Competition.
