Wunderkind, prodigy, genius. None of these adjectives have ever been applied to totalcult, whose bass-heavy breaks and funked up hip hop sit like a dark, cancerous blot on the otherwise virginal interweb. With wanton disregard for copyright laws, this British-born bedroom producer weaves hijacked samples around low-slung synths creating music that is quirky, danceable and occasionally amusing. Self-taught in the darks arts of music production, totalcult fuses influences from drum n bass, breaks, hip hop, disco and electro into a melt-in-the-mouth musical melange.
